Lycke
Expert in sustainable mobility, customer relations, retail and new forms of distribution
Bernard Lycke is a Trilligent Advisory Board Member and a policy and legal expert in sustainable mobility, customer relations, retail and new forms of distribution.
He is a graduate of the Catholic University of Leuven and Solvay (Belgium) and the University of Leiden (Netherlands), has spent a large part of his career in trade federations.
For almost 14 years, until the end of 2024, he was Director General of CECRA, the European Council for Motor Trades and Repairs. His function primarily consisted of representing/promoting the interest of the car dealers and repairers in Europe to(wards) the European institutions (EC, EP, etc.). He monitored the work of these institutions and developed and maintained high representation with the aim to follow up and influence the decision-makers automotive stakeholders in general such as ACEA (manufacturers), CLEPA (suppliers), FIA (consumers) and many others.
Prior to this, he spent 8 years as General Secretary of the Groupement des Distributeurs et Agents de Marques Automobiles of the Belgian CECRA member association. He has also worked in the direct marketing and real estate sectors.
Fascinated by the revolution currently taking place in the hyper-connected world of services, he has always kept a constant watch on sustainable mobility, customer relations, retail and new forms of distribution. The entire automotive value chain is important to him, and must evolve with the consumer in mind.
Today, he works as an independent consultant, providing legal representation and advice, secretarial services and lobbying for dealer councils, dealer groups, automotive industry representatives and other bodies.
He is also a member of the European Distribution Lawyers (EDL), an international association of lawyers and jurists specializing in distribution law.
In parallel, he has been a consular judge at the French-speaking Tribunal de l’Entreprise in Brussels since 2015.
